
Scheelhaase Named Big Ten Freshman of the Week

PARK RIDGE, Ill. - Illinois quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. It is Scheelhaase's third Freshman of the Week honor this season and second in the last three weeks.
The redshirt-freshman Illini quarterback led the Orange and Blue to a 43-13 win over Indiana on Saturday, going 13-for-21 (61.9 percent) through the air for 123 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. He also added 45 yards on six carries, an average of 7.5 yards per carry. He also was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Sept. 13 and Oct. 11.
