Columbus, Ohio- The Orange and Blue women's golf team is in 12th place after carding Saturday's two-round total of 659 at the Lady Buckeye Invitational hosted by The Ohio State University at the par-72 Ohio State University Golf Club Scarlet Course.
The Illini are led by junior Seul Ki Park, carding an 85 in the first round and 74 in the second for a total of 159, ending action tied for 26th.
Following Park are fellow juniors Kristin Kallergis tied for 38th (81-81=162) and Stephanie Mory tied for 50th (83-82=165). Casey Burden (81-86=167) ended play tied for 56th and senior captain Meghan Naik (84-85=169) ended play tied for 66th. Junior Kristine Cook is in 70th after firing a two round total of 170 (85-85).
Purdue leads tournament action amongst the 14-team field, firing a 36-hole team total of 593. Michigan State (604) is in second and Kent State (619) is in third.
Individually, Purdue's Maria Hernandez and Christel Boeljon are tied for first, firing a two round total of 142. Michigan State's Mandi McConnell rounds out the top-three, carding a 147, respectively.
