RIO VERDE, Az.- The Orange and Blue women's golf is in 12th place after Friday's 18 holes at the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational hosted by Western Michigan University at the par-72 Quail Run Course at the Rio Verde Country Club. The Illini are led by junior Seul Ki Park, who carded a 72 during play today, ending action in a four-way tie for fourth place.

Following Park is fellow junior Casey Burden tied for 25th (76), sophomore Nancy Featherstone tied for 70th (80), and junior Kristine Cook in a tie for 79th (81). Junior Kristin Kallergis recorded an 82 (T85th) and senior captain Meghan Naik, who is making her spring-season debut after returning from an injury during fall action, ended play tied for 90th, carding an 83, respectively.

Baylor University leads round one action amongst the 18-team field, firing an 18-hole team total of 289. Arkansas-Little Rock and Toledo follow with a team total of 298, rounding out the top-three.

Individually, Baylor's Allison Martin and Arkansas Little-Rock's Anita Ojeda lead, each firing a three-under 69. Toledo's Kim Kester rounds out the top-three, carding a 71.
