Buford-Bailey Inducted Into OATCCC Hall of Fame

Champaign, Ill.- Illinois women's track and field assistant coach Tonja Buford-Bailey was inducted into the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Hall of Fame on January 28th. Buford-Bailey was one of six honorees and was the lone woman in the class.

Buford-Bailey, an Olympian and NCAA champion, attended both Trotwood-Madison High School as well as Meadowdale High School. As a prep, she was a three-time state champion, twice in the high hurdles and once in the low and she set state records in the 300m hurdles, the indoor 200m hurdles and the 100 high hurdles.
