Marcus Ellington

June, 2022

Education:
Ellington earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science from Indiana University, while also being a member of the Hoosiers Track and Field team. He then proceeded to continue his education at Indiana obtaining his her Master’s of Science in Athletic Training. 

Job Responsibilities:
Marcus is an assistant athletic trainer with Cross Country/Track & Field programs.

Past Experience:
Ellington began his career as Illinois as a Visting Academic Professional/Athletic Trainer with cross country/track & field before joining the staff fulltime in the fall of 2023.

During his time as a graduate student, Ellington completed seven clinical rotations in many different settings, the most recent being with Indiana’s track & field team. Prior to pursuing his master’s degree, Ellington worked at the campus Student Recreational Sports Complex as a Risk Management/First Responder.

Certifications:
In addition to being a BOC and licensed Athletic Trainer, Ellington is also a licensed EMT.

Personal:
An Indiana native, Ellington currently lives in Champaign with his cat, Daenerys.
