Peter Collins is in his third year as an analyst at Illinois in 2020. 

Collins helped Illinois reach the 2019 Redbox Bowl, the Illini’s first bowl in five years, after a 6-6 regular season that included a win over No. 6 Wisconsin and the biggest comeback in program history in a win at Michigan State. 

Collins came to Illinois following two years as the offensive coordinator at Division III Becker College.

Collins spent three years as an offensive graduate assistant at Florida International and three years in player development at Rutgers before joining Becker. He started his coaching career as an assistant at Delaware Valley College from 2007-09.

Collins is a 2007 graduate of Mary Washington College. He completed a master’s degree in recreation and sport management from Florida International in 2016.

Collins and his wife Amy have two daughters, Madelyn and Kate.
