CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois wrestling head coach Mike Poeta revealed the teams upcoming 2025 nonconference schedule on Friday (Sept. 5).
The season begins at home with a dual on Saturday, Nov. 8, when the Fighting Illini welcome in Rider.
The following weekend Saturday-Sunday (Nov. 15-16) the Illinois grapplers head to Tulsa, Okla. to partake in the National Duals Invitational sponsored by Paycom. Their next dual action is on the road to Columbia, Mo. to take of the Tigers on Monday (Nov. 24).
Three tournaments round out the nonconference schedule in December with the first being the Cougar Invite on Sunday (Dec. 7) in Edwardsville, Ill. Next the Orange and Blue head to Nashville, Tenn. on Sunday (Dec. 20) for the Collegiate Duals Invitational and finally finish the month at the Midlands Championships in Hoffman Estates, Ill. on a date to be announced later.
