Illini Fall in Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinals to No. 9 Ohio State

OJAI, Calif. – Illinois' Big Ten Women's Tennis Tournament journey came to an end in the quarterfinals on Thursday after suffering a 4-0 loss to [2] No. 9 Ohio State. Action took place outdoors from Libbey Park in Ojai, Calif.

No. 42 Illinois moved to 14-12 on the season with the quarterfinals loss. No. 9-ranked Ohio State moved to 20-3 overall. The West Coast contest against OSU marked the ninth top-25 matchup of the campaign for the Fighting Illini.

No. 9 Ohio State got on the board first, claiming doubles victories at No. 1 and 3. The Buckeyes would then claim singles wins at No. 3, 2, and 5, respectively.
