CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Five fomer Fighting Illini are in action this week across a trio of events on the PGA TOUR and Korn Ferry Tour.
PGA TOUR
Coming off Masters week, the PGA TOUR resumes play with two events on tap.
First, the RBC Heritage – the fifth of eight Signature Events of the season – will tee off with at Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island, S.C.
Thomas Detry, the No. 30-ranked golfer and one of 43 top-50 OWGR-ranked players in the field, will tee off alongside former Illini teammate Brian Campbell. Both golfers were in action at their first Masters last weekend, with Campbell making the cut and finishing T32 after a strong final round of 68 (-4) on Sunday.
Detry and Campbell enter the week ranked 13th and 35th, respectively, in the FedEx Cup rankings.
Meanwhile, at Puntacana Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, Nick Hardy is set to tee off at the Corales Puntacana Championship. It marks Hardy's fifth time playing in the event where he recorded a T13 finish in 2023.
KORN FERRY TOUR
Luke Guthrie and Adrien Dumont de Chassart are also in action together this week at the Korn Ferry Tour's LECOM Suncoast Classic at Lakewood National Golf Club in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
Guthrie is 59th on the season points list and enters the week looking for his fifth made cut in eight Korn Ferry Tour starts this season. It marks his third start in the event where he posted a T32 finish in his debut in 2020.
Dumont de Chassart will tee off in the event for the first time. It marks his third Korn Ferry Tour start this spring, after also making three starts on the DP World Tour in January and early February.
