CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - For the fourth time this season, Chloe Cho nabbed the Big Ten's Freshman of the Week award, the conference announced Tuesday (Feb. 18). Cho now has the most Freshman of the Week honors in program history, and is one award away from entering the top 10 in Big Ten history.
At the Zou to the Lou Quad on Feb. 14, Cho tied her beam career high with a score of 9.925, leading the way and ultimately winning the event. She also shattered her previous career best on uneven bars, earning a 9.950, which secured her a share of the event title. At Iowa on Feb. 16, Cho set a new personal record on vault with a 9.900, claiming the event title by a narrow margin of 0.050. Additionally, she scored 9.925 on floor to lead the Illini, and went on to win the all-around title with an impressive score of 39.375.Â
In total this season, Cho has earned 11 event titles, and sits in the top 20 nationally on beam, floor and in the all-around.
