CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — The Illinois football team's Orange and Blue Spring Game is set for April 20 at Memorial Stadium. The game will start at 1 p.m. CT and is free and open to the public.Â
The Spring Game will be Illinois' first event at Memorial Stadium during the 100th anniversary season. Season tickets are on sale now, starting at $100 to commemorate the 100th anniversary and provide an affordable entry point for all fans.
The Spring Game will be broadcast nationally by Big Ten Network with Matt Schumacker, J Leman, and Brooke Fletcher on the call. Brian Barnhart has the radio call on the Busey Bank Illini Sports Network.
SPRING GAME INFORMATION
Tickets
• The game is free and open to the public. No tickets are needed.Â
Gates
• Gates open at 12 p.m. CT for the 1 p.m. CT start.
• Fans can use Gates 20, 22, and 24 on the west side of Memorial Stadium.
Parking
• Parking is free for the Spring Game.
• Lot 31 - Available starting at 7 a.m. CT. All four entrances of Lot 31 will be open and available for football parking.
• ADA parking will be available in the northwest State Farm Center lot.Â
Tailgating
• Grange Grove will open at 7 a.m. CT. Inflatables in the Kids Zone and food trucks will be available.Â
• Fans can set up tailgates in Grange Grove on Friday night from 5-7 p.m. CT.
Merchandise Sale
• The Gameday Spirit Merchandise Sale will run in the Great West Hall from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. CT. Fans can enter through Gate 10.
Illini Hour
• Illini Hour will run from 12-1 p.m. CT, featuring $3 beers and $2 water.Â
Clear Bag
• The Memorial Stadium clear bag policy will be in effect.
Premium Seating
• PUBLIC - Tickets are being sold for $20 to the general public for entry into the Colonnades Club. Click here to purchase.
• MEMBERS - Colonnades Club and 77 Club members have been provided (via e-mail) tickets in their respective club. Suite owners have been contacted (via e-mail) with further information regarding use of their suite.
Memorial Stadium Seating
• The west stands of Memorial Stadium will be open to seating for the general public.Â
• ADA seating is available on the west balcony.
• Illinois Athletics will host a Spring Game event in the North End Zone student section for incoming admitted students as part of the campus-wide IlliniFest event on campus. Students should enter the stadium through the north entrance on Irwin Drive.
Student Information
• Students are invited to join the Block I student section tailgate for food, drinks, and games in Grange Grove pregame.Â
• Students will sit in their normal North End Zone seats for the game.
Game Format
• Offense in blue uniforms.
• Defense in white uniforms.Â
• Quarterbacks in orange uniforms.Â
• No score kept.
• No kick or punt returns.
• Halftime: 12 minutesÂ
• 1st/3rd quarter breaks: 2 minutesÂ
• Potential for running clock in the second half.Â
• The game will be two hours long.
Halftime
• The Varsity I Skills Competition will take place during halftime with former Illini football players competing against each other in longest throw, longest punt, and longest field goal contests.
