History

Illinois has only competed against Ball State twice. The Illini defeated the Cardinals in a dual meet (195.450-192.250) in 2004. In 2013, the Orange and Blue also scored 196.300 to claim first place in a tri-meet against Ball State (193.500) and UIC (192.625).

This will be the first time that Illini head coach Nadalie Walsh will face Ball State. Walsh previously served as the Cardinals' head coach from 2008-13, coaching four Mid-American Conference individual event champions and guiding six gymnasts to 10 appearances in the NCAA Regionals.
