CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The No. 23 Illinois women's gymnastics team will travel to Columbus, Ohio, to compete against No. 15 Ohio State, Kent State and Bowling Green on Friday, March 1, at 5:30 p.m. CT at the Covelli Center before coming home to host Bowling Green on March 3 at 2 p.m. CT for the Women's Empowerment meet.
Scouting Report
Ohio State is coming off a strong Big Five Meet, in which they finished second (197.000) in front of Minnesota (196.900), Nebraska (195.725) and Rutgers (194.300). The Buckeyes finished two-tenths of a point behind first-place Michigan State (197.200).
Kent State is coming off a conference win over Central Michigan (196.025-195.425), with three Golden Flashes claiming event wins in the battle between Mid-American Conference foes. Dani Fuertez won the first beam crown of her career, Nastia Rudnitskaya tied for the win on vault and Karlie Franz nabbed her fourth floor crown of the season after tying for first in the event.
The Bowling Green gymnastics team picked up a narrow victory over Long Island,195.925-195.875, the Falcons' best score this season and tied the ninth-best team total in program history.

Illinois dropped two spots in the rankings, moving to No. 23 after back-to-back-to-back season highs (196.550 at GymQuarters Invitational,196.850 versus No. 15 Minnesota and another 196.850 at the Big Five Meet).
