Senior defensive lineman TeRah Edwards led the Fighting Illini football team to a 21-7 victory over #24 Michigan on Oct. 19. Edwards recorded a career-high two sacks, made two tackles for loss, and forced a fumble in the win, and he helped the Illinois defense hold the Wolverines to their lowest point total in over a decade. Entering the contest with 1.5 career sacks, Edwards tallied the first game of his collegiate career with multiple sacks.
Edwards' performance saw the Illini improve to 6-1 on the season. Edwards is a senior majoring in strategic brand communication.
