No. 10 Illinois Falls to Maryland

RECAP

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – No. 10 Illinois fell to Maryland, 76-67, at State Farm Center on Sunday afternoon.

The loss snaps Illinois' seven-game home win streak, and marks the team's first home loss to a Big Ten opponent since Jan. 19, 2023.  

Luke Goode hit double figures for the fourth time this season, tallying 13 points. Goode knocked down his first three 3-point attempts of the afternoon, recording nine points within the first five minutes of action. He also grabbed six rebounds and one steal.

Marcus Domask finished with a team-high 26 points, his seventh consecutive outing in double digits. After leading the Illini with 13 points in the first half, Domask registered 13 points after the break. He also tacked on four rebounds.

Ty Rodgers matched his career-high assist mark with five. He notched an assist on four of the Illini's first five baskets of the contest, and he also ended his outing with five points, six rebounds, and one steal.

Coleman Hawkins amassed eight points, seven rebounds, two blocks, and one steal.

No. 10 Illinois (12-4, 3-2 B1G) heads north to take on Michigan on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. CT. The clash with the Wolverines will air on FS1.
