The John Mackey Award named Illinois tight end Tip Reiman to its 2023 preseason watch list, the Mackey Foundation announced on Friday.
The Mackey Award
The John Mackey Award is presented annually to the most outstanding tight end in college football. Created in 2000, the award is named in honor of Super Bowl champion and Pro Football Hall of Famer John Mackey, who spent his college career at Syracuse. The Mackey Award is voted on by a selection committee that includes chairman Jerry Mackey Sr., college football media, and former award recipients.
