CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois women's golf takes the short trip north to host the Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah. The two-day tournament is played at historic Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Ill., on Monday, Oct. 9 and Tuesday, Oct. 10.
THE SETTING
The Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah is held at Medinah Country Club and will be played on Course No. 2. The course was designed by Tom Bendelow and officially opened in 1925. The course will be set up for a par 72 and will play 6,166 yards long.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
There will be 15 teams competing in the 54-hole tournament. Monday has a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. CT, with 36 holes of continuous play, and Tuesday will have a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. CT.
THE FIELD
Along with the Illini, the 15-team field for the Women's Invitational at Medinah will include Alabama, Georgia, Houston, LSU, North Carolina-Wilmington, Northwestern, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, San Jose State, SMU, TCU and Texas Tech.

ILLINI AT THE WOMEN'S INVITATIONAL AT MEDINAH
This will be the fifth time that Illinois has hosted the Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah. The Illini finished eighth in last season's tournament, tied for sixth in 2021 and third in both 2018 and 2019.
In last year's event, Illinois carded the third and fourth-lowest single-round team scores (-10, -9) and the second-lowest 54-hole team total in program history (-22). Crystal Wang, who finished second individually, also recorded the lowest individual 54-hole tournament score in program history (-14).
