CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois women's tennis and head coach Evan Clark announced the addition of Violeta Martinez (Port Saint Lucie, Fla.) to the Fighting Illini women's tennis program on Tuesday (April 12). Martinez will join the Orange and Blue for the 2022-23 academic year.

"We are thrilled to welcome Violeta to the Illinois women's tennis family," said Clark. "We continue to be fortunate enough to land high caliber tennis players, but more importantly land well-rounded, high character and humble individuals like Violeta. We believe it is an unbelievable fit for all parties and I am extremely grateful and appreciative of Violeta's confidence in me, our program and our great university.
