CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Following a run of five consecutive wins to win the ITA Midwest Regional doubles championship, Megan Heuser and Kate Duong are headed for the ITA National Fall Championships looking to continue their run.

Duong and Heuser will open their next fall event in the round of 32 doubles main draw on Wednesday with a 5:30 p.m. CT meeting against Carol Lee and Kate Sharabura from Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jacket duo is the No. 1 ranked doubles team in the country.
The Championships are the grand finale to the fall collegiate tennis season and feature 64 of the nation's top collegiate singles players (32 men and 32 women) and 64 doubles teams (32 men's team and 32 women's teams). The event is in its fifth year, having replaced the ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships beginning in 2017.
Duong and Heuser are the first Illini duo to compete in the ITA National Fall Championships since it replaced the National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships in 2017. The duo became the first Illini to reach the regional finals since Melissa Kopinski and Rachael White in 2012.
