CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois men's gymnastics interim head coach Daniel Ribeiro announced the full schedule for the 2023 season on Monday.

Illinois will begin the season on Jan. 14 with the annual Windy City Invitational in Chicago. The Illini finished third out of seven teams at last year's event.

The Illini open their home schedule on Jan. 23 against Greenville University at Huff Hall, before heading to Norman, Okla., to face the Oklahoma Sooners on Jan. 28.

The Orange and Blue will come back to Champaign-Urbana to begin Big Ten competition with Penn State at Huff Hall on Feb. 4. League action continues in Columbus, Ohio against last year's Big Ten runner-up, Ohio State, on Feb. 11.

After an idle week, the qualified athletes will compete in the Winter Cup from Feb. 25-26 before heading out to California to take on the Cal Golden Bears and defending, three-time national champion Stanford, on March 4.  

The final home meet will take place on March 12 when Big Ten foe Nebraska comes to Huff Hall. Next, Illinois will head to Ann Arbor, Mich., to compete with last year's Big Ten Champion, Michigan, on March 18, in the regular-season finale.

The Big Ten Championships, hosted by Ohio State, are scheduled for March 31- April 1, and the NCAA Championships hosted by Penn State are April 14-15.
