Dang Takes Bronze on Pommel Horse at 2026 Paris World Challenge Cup

PARIS – Fighting Illini senior Brandon Dang secured the pommel horse bronze medal at the 2026 Paris World Challenge Cup on Sunday.
Representing the United States on the international level once again, Dang advanced to the event finals as one of the top eight finishers during qualifying and ultimately claimed third.
Dang earned a spot in the event finals after finishing fourth with a 14.333 during the qualifying stage on Saturday.
The 2026 NCAA pommel horse champion ultimately posted a 14.700 during the event finals on Sunday. He finished behind only Hamlet Manukyan of Armenia and Gabriele Targhetta of Italy.
Dang now heads back to Champaign-Urbana for his senior season with an already decorated resume with three consecutive Big Ten pommel horse titles (2024-26) and his first-career NCAA pommel horse title (2026).
