CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois men's and women's track & field teams next travels to Louisville, Ky., for the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational, hosted by Louisville at the Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center on Saturday (January 29).
The Illini will be joined by 14 other teams at the meet, including the host Cardinals as well as Arkansas State, Cincinnati, Eastern Kentucky, Illinois State, Indiana State, Marshall, Memphis, Middle Tennessee State, Notre Dame, South Florida, Southern Illinois, Vanderbilt and Western Kentucky.
Field events will start with the women's weight throw at 9 a.m. CT, while the track events will open with the women's 60-meter at 1 p.m. CT The meet concludes with the men's 4x400 meter relay at 6:30 p.m. CT.
Admission is free and open to spectators, with parking available and will be $5 per person with a maximum charge of $15 per car.

The Illinois men's and women's track and field teams each finished in second place at the Illini Invitational and multi, held at the UI Armory on Saturday (January 22), with the men totaling 199 points and the women scoring 163 points. The Illini earned 18 event titles, with 12 coming in running events and four in field events, while freshman Kenli Nettles took the heptathlon with 3,126 points on day one of the invitational on Friday and junior Aiden Ouimet winning the pentathlon with a personal best 5,297 points.

Illini Notes
- The PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational will feature a number of teams included in the first installment of USTFCCCA's Indoor Track and Field National Rating Index, including Notre Dame's No. 15 men's team, the No. 22 Vanderbilt women's team and the No. 24 Louisville men.
- The Illini women debuted at No. 11 in the first USTFCCCA Midwest Regional TFRI, with the Illini men coming in at No. 16.
- After a long wait due to injury, freshman Kenli Nettles made her collegiate debut last Friday at the Illini Invitational, winning the women's pentathlon with 3,126 points. Nettles won three of the five events in the pentathlon, including the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.20, the high jump with a mark of 1.62m and the long jump with a jump of 5.13m.
- Junior Aiden Ouimet took home the pentathlon title at the Illini Invitational with a personal best 5,297 points. Ouimet won three of seven events, including long jump (6.95m), pole vault (4.80m) and the 1000m run (2:54.70), and set personal records in five events, including the long jump and pole vault as well as the shot put (12.26m), high jump (1.92m) and 60m hurdles (8.80).
- Senior Nya Carr won two events at the Illini Invitational, first winning the women's long jump with a mark of 5.39m, before registering a personal best 7.56 in the 60m dash for her second event title of the day.
- Senior Bret Dannis earned his second 60m hurdles title of the season with a time of 7.99 to kickstart the Illini in the running events.
- The Illini then took wins in both the women's and men's races in the 60m, 600m, mile, 3000m and the 4x400 relay, as well as the long jump, while also adding a 1-2 finish in the women's high jump as sophomore Kelsey Rothas turned in a personal record of 3.77m on her first attempt and freshman Tori Thomas added her second runner-up performance of the season after reaching a mark of 3.77m on her second attempt.

Illinois next head to South Bend, Ind., for the Meyo Invitational on Friday and Saturday, February 4-5.
