CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Fighting Illini men's tennis team completed the 4-0 sweep against Nebraska on Sunday afternoon. Illinois has now won nine straight against Nebraska and are undefeated in the series.
Illinois began the day, sweeping in Doubles play. Alex Brown and Zeke Clark picked up the win on Court 1 defeating Lozano/Gleason 6-1. Siphos Montsi and Noé Khlif followed defeating Maruyama/Wiedenhorn 6-2 on Court 3.
Lucas Horve picked up the first point of singles play on Court 6. He defeated Patrick Cacciatore in straight sets (6-2, 6-0). Khlif shortly followed on Court 5 defeating William Gleason 6-0, 6-1.
Montsi clinched the match defeating Victor Moreno Lozano 6-3, 6-2 on Court 1.
