CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Fighting Illini men's tennis defeated Northwestern 4-1 on Sunday afternoon. Illinois won four straight singles matches after losing the doubles point.
Zeke Clark and Alex Brown picked up the lone win in doubles play, defeating Brookes/Bratholm 6-3.
Kweisi Kenyatte picked up the first singles win on the afternoon. He defeated Gleb Blekher 6-1, 6-2 on Court 6. Siphosothando Montsi defeated Dominik Stary in straight sets (6-2, 6-1) moving to 9-0 in singles play this season. Hunter Heck quickly followed on Court 5, defeating Simen Bratholm 6-3, 6-2.
Noé Khlif clinched the match for the Illini on Court 4. He defeated Trice Pickens 6-2, 6-2.
