Madison, Wis. - The Fighting Illini men's tennis team defeated Wisconsin – on Friday evening. The Illini won the doubles point and the first two singles matches. It's the second win against the Badgers for Illinois this season.
Alex Brown and Zeke Clark took Court 2 first, defeating Pratt/Dzhurinskiy 6-3. Siphos Montsi and Kweisi Kenyatte took Court 1 defeating Huber/Pratt 6-4.
The Illini's first singles win came from Noe Khlif. In his first match since May 2019, Khlif defeated Jesper Freimuth in straight sets (6-2,6-1). Montsi followed, also winning in straight sets. He defeated Lenard Soha 6-3,6-1 on Court 1.
Zeke Clark clinched the victory for Illinois on Court 3. He defeated Robin Parts 6-4,4-6,6-3. Wisconsin picked up their lone win on Court 6.
Alex Brown got his first dual match win of the season on Court 2. He defeated Gabriel Huber 7-6 (4), 3-6, 6-4. On Court 5 Kenyatte  defeated Mihailo Popovic (WIS) 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 10-7.
