ABOUT WISCONSIN: Wisconsin enters Sunday's game with a 3-11 overall record, including an 0-11 mark in Big Ten play. The Badgers are coming off of an 84-68 road loss at Nebraska. UW started the year with a 73-66 home win over Western Illinois, and also grabbed non-conference victories over North Dakota (80-60) and Valparaiso (89-82). Wisconsin has two starters averaging double-figures scoring in sophomore G Sydney Hilliard (16.9 ppg) and junior F Imani Lewis (13.5 ppg). Lewis ranks as the team's top rebounder, pulling down 8.4 rebounds per contest, while HIlliard averages a team-leading 4.6 assists per game. The Badgers average 65.4 points per game, while giving up an average of 77.1 points per contest. UW also ranks among the top 100 in the NCAA five categories: No. 45 in total shots blocked (56), No. 80 in blocked shots per game (4.0), No. 91 in free-throws made (170), No. 96 in free-throw percentage (.723) and No. 96 in total assists (183).
SERIES VS. WISCONSIN: Sunday's game is the 76th in the series between the Fighting Illini and the Badgers. Wisconsin holds a slim 39-37 edge, including a 24-10 lead in games played in Madison. Illinois' last win the series, overall, came Feb. 10, 2019, a 78-68 decision in Champaign. The last Illini road win in the series came Feb. 17, 2016 (76-56). UW has won the last two on their home court.
LAST TIME VS. WISCONSIN: The Fighting Illini faced off against the Badgers in the opening round of the 2020 Big Ten Tournament in Indianapolis, Indiana, closing their season with a 71-55 loss at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Kennedi Myles extended her Illinois freshman record with her eighth double-double of the season after notching 13 points and 11 rebounds, to go along with three blocks. Jada Peebles also added 10 points, the fourth double-digit scoring game of her rookie campaign. Jeanae Terry chipped in with five points and eight rebounds.
