Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship Games Set for Illini

NASSAU, Bahamas - Illinois' opponents at the Baha Mar Hoops Tournament from Nov. 27-29 have been set, revealing the first piece of the 2026-27 women's basketball nonconference schedule. The Illini will face Marquette on Friday, Nov. 27, followed by Saint Joseph's on Sunday, Nov. 29, from Nassau, Bahamas.
Event promoter bdG Sports officially announced the tournament field on Tuesday, which features the Fighting Illini alongside Marquette, St. Joseph's, Belmont, Iowa State, and USC. Action will take place at the Baha Mar Convention, Arts & Entertainment Center. A three-game schedule is slated for both Nov. 27 and Nov. 29 with each of the six teams playing two games during their stay in the Bahamas.
Illinois is slated to tip off against Marquette at 10 AM CT on Nov. 27 and will face Saint Joseph's at 10 AM CT on Nov. 29, opening tournament action both days. On Friday, USC will take on Saint Joseph's at 12:30 PM followed by Iowa State vs. Belmont at 3 p.m. On Sunday, Iowa State vs. USC will follow the Illini action before Marquette vs. Belmont at 3 p.m. closes out the event schedule.
