Illini Swimmers Hit the Road for Ohio State Winter Invite

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Eight swimmers from the Illinois swim and dive team will compete at the Ohio State Winter Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 15 through Sunday, Feb. 16 at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio.
Natalie Edwards, Lizzie Gile, Monica Guyett, Molly Hein, Caroline Hippen, Jenna Keating, Isabelle Packard and Makayla Varga will represent the Illini at the event. The eight will compete against athletes from host team, Ohio State, Akron, Eastern Michigan, Johns Hopkins, Kentucky, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and Purdue.
Each day will be broken up into preliminaries and finals. Preliminary races are set to begin at 11 a.m. CT every day. Finals will begin at 5 p.m. CT on Saturday, while starting at 4 p.m. CT on Sunday.
The invite will be streamed on BTN+ each day.
Next Up
The Fighting Illini gear up for the Big Ten Championships held at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center in Iowa City, Iowa. The four-day event will begin on Wednesday, Feb. 19 and last through Saturday, Feb. 22.
