Team Blue Takes the Crown in Intrasquad Meet

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois swimming and diving completed its annual intrasquad meet on Saturday, Sept. 26, at the ARC Pool. Team Blue took the victory at a score of 79-75.
The meet began with Team Blue's Michelle Kaner, Chloe Diner, Bella Wojtowicz and Isabella Wilhelm taking the victory in the 200 medley relay. Team Blue took the crown in the next event as well, the 50 butterfly, as Wilhelm touched first. Diner countinued building the lead for Team Blue in the third event of the 100 butterfly.
Kate Farrell got Team Orange on the board in the 150 butterfly as she got her team their first event crown. She would also later go on to win the 150 backstroke and her teammate, Kayla Duran, won the 50 breaststroke.
Diner (100 breaststroke) and Farrell (150 breaststroke) traded event wins for their squads in the next two races. Wilhelm again won the 50 freestyle for Team Blue, but Maggie Adler bounced back for Team Orange in the 100 freestyle. Hailey Vlcek won the 150 freestlye for Team Orange in the last race of the day, but it wasn't enough as Team Blue solidified their victory.
