CHAMPAIGN, IL – The University of Illinois celebrated its incredible athletics legacy by inducting its third class to the Illinois Athletics Hall of Fame on Sept. 20 at State Farm Center.

Some of the greatest names in Fighting Illini history comprise the 16-person Class of 2019, including four Illinois football greats – Simeon Rice, David Williams, Bobby Mitchell and the late J.C. Caroline. Mitchell was unable to attend due to health reasons but sent an acceptance video, while Caroline's daughter, Jolynn, sent a video on her father's behalf.
