FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The second day of play at the 2019 NCAA Championships was suspended for unplayable course conditions on Saturday morning after a five-hour weather delay before play. Illinois is currently 28-over par as a team and sits in 16th after today.
Play will resume tomorrow at 10 a.m. CT with Saturday's morning wave resuming play and the afternoon wave beginning play from the No. 1 and No. 10 tees. Illinois is slated to tee off at 10 a.m. CT and are once again paired with Washington and Indiana. The Orange and Blue will tee off in the order of Hallinan, Wang, Nowlin, Sukaree, and Singhsumalee.
The NCAA Championships are being held at The Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark. The Illini are among 24 teams taking on the Par 73, 6,473-yard course. After some action on the course today, the Orange and Blue moved up a spot in the standings, sitting one spot shy off the cut in 16th place. Before the weather delay, No. 3 Duke and No. 1 USC had strong starts to the day, rising four spots after shooting 11-under par and 5-under par, respectively. No. 4 Texas rounds out the top three with a 1-over par on the day.
In the current individual standings, senior Bing Singhsumalee is the top Illini with 77 (+4), tied for 28th overall. Freshman Kornkamol Sukaree rose to 45th with 79 (+6), while junior Tristyn Nowlin is a stroke behind with 80 (+7). She currently is tied for 67th. Freshman Crystal Wang is tied for 106th with 84 (+11). She posted three birdies on the front nine, including back-to-back on holes 3 and 4. Freshman Katie Hallinan rounds out the fivesome at 130th with 90 (+17).
The stroke play portion of the tournament will be reverted to a 54-hole tournament for stroke play. All 24 teams and 12 individuals in the tournament will compete again on Monday with the top eight teams advancing to the match play. The individual medalist will also be determined after the final round of stroke play.

The 2019 NCAA Women's Golf Championships are being held on the Par 73, 6,473-yard course at The Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark. The tournament format will feature three rounds of stroke play, with the field being narrowed to eight teams after 54 holes are played. An individual champion will be determined following the final round of stroke play and the top eight teams will advance to the match play portion of the championship. Match play quarterfinals and semifinals will be held on May 21, and the final match will take place on May 22.
How to Watch – Golf Channel Coverage
The Golf Channel will provide pre-tournament, live and post-round coverage of the NCAA Women's Golf Championships beginning on May 20 (3-7 p.m. CT) when the individual national champion is crowned. Golf Channel's coverage also will include all three rounds of the team match-play tournament next Tuesday (10 a.m.-12:30 p.m., 3-7 p.m. CT) and Wednesday (3-7 p.m. CT).
