COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Fighting Illini men's track and field saw three individual event titles and two second-place finishes Saturday at The Reveille meet hosted by Texas A&M. Freshman Bret Dannis won the 110m Hurdles, redshirt freshman Irwin Loud placed first in the 1500m and redshirt senior Dan Lathrop took the event title in the men's 5K to lead the Illini at The Reveille. Senior Devin Quinn (100m) and junior Jesse Reiser (3,000m Steeplechase) earned second place finishes in their respective events. The Illini placed fourth at the meet with a team score of 99. 

Competition was interrupted by storms just after 4:30 p.m. CT, putting the meet in a weather delay that would last over three hours. The meet resumed at 7:45 p.m. CT. 

Illinois won each of its three event titles in the running events, which began after the weather delay. Freshman Bret Dannis was the first event winner for the Orange and Blue. Dannis timed a 14.64 finish to place first in the 100m Hurdles at The Reveille. 

Not long after, Irwin Loud secured his first career outdoor title with a first place finish in the men's 1500m. Loud set a new PR with at finish time of 3:52.31 to win the event. 

In the last individual event of the night, redshirt senior Dan Lathrop gave the Orange and Blue its third event title of the evening. Lathrop clocked a 14:48.50 finish, good for first place in the event.   

The Illini had multiple top-five finishes throughout the evening. Junior Jesse Reiser placed second in the 3,000m Steeplechase, clocking a time of 9:05.59. In the men's 100m, senior Devin Quinn also earned a second place finish with a 10.20 finish. 

The Illini would see PR's in the 400m Hurdles and the 800m Saturday. In the 400m Hurdles, freshman Jaden Jackson placed fourth and set a new PR with his finish time of 53.20. In the 800m, senior Denis O'Callaghan posted a new outdoor PR with his time of 1:50.87.  

In field events, sophomore Vince Shields led the Illini in the shot put, recording a mark of 16.07 meters to place fifth in the event.

Up Next, the Illini host their lone home meet of the season, the Illini Twilight, on Saturday, April 13. The meet will begin with field events starting at 2 p.m. Running events will start at 4 p.m. The senior recognition is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. A bounce house for kids will be open at 3:30 p.m. Pizza and sweatbands will be distributed to the first 100 fans at Illinois Track Stadium.
