ORLANDO, Fla. – With two rounds of play at the UCF Challenge in the books, the Illinois women's golf team remains in 13th with a 585 (+9). The Illini posted a round two score of 296 (+8), bringing its two-day total to 585 (+9) at the Eagle Creek Golf Club (Par 72, 6,349 yards).

After a strong showing from freshman Katie Hallinan today, top Illini finished the second-round under-par with a 71 (-1). In the team lineup for the first time in her career, Hallinan heads into the final round, tied for 22nd overall with a 143 (-1). After under-par performances yesterday, freshman duo Kornkamol Sukaree and Crystal Wang remained tied with a pair of 146(+2). The California natives are both tied at 45th going into the final round.

Bogeys have affected the scores of returners Bing Singhsumalee and Ali Morallos, who are sitting in 77th and 83rd (T) overall. As an individual competitor, freshman Lauren Nay posted a 79 (+7) to bring her two-day total to 158 (+14).

No. 3 Vanderbilt have soared to the top of the leaderboard after an impressive 277 (-11) in the second round. A par away from tying the Commodores, No. 27 Miami (FL) remains in second with a 561 (-15). Following close behind is No. 42 Kennesaw State with No. 9 Kent State and Big Ten opponents, No. 25 Purdue and No. 35 Michigan State rounding out the top five.

The final round of the UCF Challenge is set for a 7:45 a.m. CT/8:45 a.m. ET shotgun start on Tuesday morning.
