CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois swimming and diving head coach Sue Novitsky has announced the addition of nine athletes that will join the Fighting Illini for the 2020-2021 season. The Orange and Blue additions include Laurel Bludgen, Cara Bognar, Sophia Burwitz, Audrey Gingras, Paige Koscielski, Brooke Michael, Taylor Michael, Meghan Niziolek and Lily Olson.
"This class brings in a group that will be able to come in and have an immediate positive impact on the team in the pool and in the classroom," Novitsky said. "We were able to add to the talent and depth of the team in many of the events. In addition to their athletic and academic success, they are fantastic people with great character and personalities. As a group they will be terrific representatives for the University and are excited to wear the Orange & Blue!"
