
Illini Gymnasts Come up Big at U.S. Championships

Fletcher shares national title on parallel bars
Boston, Mass. - Competing at the junior level at the 2018 U.S. Gymnastics Championships, incoming freshman Michael Fletcher came away with a share of the national title on parallel bars, as well as a sixth-place finish in all-around. Rising senior and reigning collegiate Still Rings National Champion, Alex Diab, earned a silver medal on the event after finishing with a two-day total of 28.950.
Also competing at the event was rising junior Sebastian Quiana. Competing on four events, Quiana finished with the following two-day totals: floor (27.050), vault (27.650), parallel bars (26.100) and high bar (24.650).
