Fighting Illini men's golf alumni Thomas Pieters found himself making waves in yet another Major championship over the weekend. The European Tour standout fired rounds of 67-66-71-66 to finish 10-under par and in a tie for sixth at the PGA Championship in St. Louis, Missouri. His second-round 66 stands as his lowest major round.

On the Web.com Tour, Brian Campell, Nick Hardy and Luke Guthrie competed in the field at the Ellie Mae Classic at TPC Stonebrae. Campell earned a T-30 finish with a total score 10-under par, while Hardy finished two strokes back in a tie for 38th. 

Coming up, the Orange and Blue alumni in the pros are set for another busy weekend. On the European Tour, Thomas Detry will appear in the field at the Nordea Masters August 16-19. 

Steve Stricker, D.A. Points and Dylan Meyer will appear in the field at the Wyndham Championship, which will be held in Greensboro, North Carolina. On the Web.com Tour, Scott Langley, Luke Guthrie and Brian Campbell will take on the WinCo Foods Portland Open as well.
