UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. –  The No. 15 Fighting Illini women's tennis team concluded the 2018 regular season with a 5-2 win over the Penn State Nittany Lions at the Sarni Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon. Illinois earned its 20th win of the season on Sunday and enter next week's Big Ten Tournament with a 9-3 mark in conference play.
After dropping the doubles point, freshman Emilee Duong put Illinois on the board with a 6-1, 6-1, dominating win over Taylor Shukow on court six. Fellow-freshman Mia Rabinowitz extended her singles winning streak to 11 matches after defeating Hanna Wikbertg, 6-2, 6-2. Junior Daniela Pedraza-Novak was next off the court with a match victory by the same score at the No. 3 position. In the end, junior Jaclyn Switkes clinched the match victory, 6-2, 6-3 on court one.
