UNIVERSITY PARK, Penn. – The No. 6 Fighting Illini men's tennis team blanked the Penn State Nittany Lions, 4-0 on Sunday morning. Illinois snapped Penn State's 10-match undefeated streak at home to improve to 17-6 overall this season and 8-1 in Big Ten play.

Illinois got off to a quick start with two wins on the doubles courts to give the Orange and Blue an early advantage. With only four indoor courts, the Illini overwhelmed the Nittany Lions and quickly sealed a sweep. Senior Aleks Vukic was first off the court with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Christian Lakoselijac. Sophomore Zeke Clark extended his team-best singles winning streak to seven matches defeating Ben Lieb, 6-4, 6-0. Freshman Alex Brown clinched the match for the Illini, 6-3, 6-3 on court three.

Up next, the Illini return home for the regular season finale. Illinois will welcome Minnesota and Wisconsin next Friday and Sunday. The Orange and Blue will celebrate Senior Day on Sunday prior to a noon first serve and honor Aron Hiltzik, Pablo Landa and Aleks Vukic.
