COLLEGE STATION, TX – Illinois men's track and field redshirt senior David Kendziera earned his seventh career All-America honor at NCAA Indoor Championships, placing 12th in the 60m hurdle semifinal. Kendziera fell four spots, 0.04 seconds, shy of qualifying for Saturday's final.

Kendziera's second All-America honor at NCAA Indoor Championships in as many seasons, Kendziera placed sixth in the second of two qualifying heats, timing 7.84 out of lane five.

The Mount Prospect, Illinois native placed fourth in 2017, timing 7.73 to earn First Team All-America honors.

Entering his final outdoor season, Kendziera will again be one of the top 110m and 400m hurdlers in the country. A First Team All-American in both events, Kendziera placed third in the high hurdles and seventh in the intermediate hurdles.

Kendziera's teammate redshirt freshman Jon Davis will compete tomorrow, March 10, in the 3,000-meter national final at 6:10 p.m. Davis enters with the sixth-best time nationally, a 7:49.92 showing at Iowa State on February 9 that broke the Illinois program record by 11 seconds.

The 3,000-meter race can be streamed live on ESPN3.com, while live results for the meet are available at NCAA.com. A tape-delayed broadcast of NCAA Championships will air Sunday, March 11, at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.
