CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - After placing third at the Briar's Creek Invitational earlier this week, the 23rd ranked Fighting Illini women's golf team will have a quick turnaround as they head to Tucson, Arizona, to compete in the first-ever MountainView Collegiate, March 23-25.

"A few areas that we will need to focus on will be to continue to play to our strengths and adjusting to the greens in Tucson," assistant coach Jenny Coluccio said. "The team is ready to tee it up again and have another opportunity to compete."

Currently ranked No. 23 in the nation (according to Golfweek), UI will face off against Central Arkansas, Colorado State, Kansas, Kansas State, Middle Tennessee, Missouri, Missouri State, Nebraska, New Mexico State, North Texas, Sam Houston State, San Jose State, Wichita State and Wyoming.

The Orange and Blue lineup for MountainView will be Bing Singhsumalee, Tristyn Nowlin, Grace Park, Dana Gattone and Chayanid Prapassarangkul. Freshman Ali Morallos will be competing as an individual.
