CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- The Illinois baseball team begins is 2018 home schedule Wednesday when Milwaukee comes to Illinois Field. It is the first of 13 straight games in the state of Illinois for the Illini.
Illinois (8-4) is off to a nice start to this season's campaign. The Illini have won seven of their last eight, including top-25 wins over UCLA and Coastal Carolina.
The Illini had won seven straight games before snapping the streak Saturday against Michigan State in Greenville, S.C. Illinois still won two of three games in Greenville after sweeping the DQ Classic/Big Ten-Pac-12 Challenge the weekend prior.
Milwaukee (4-10) enters having won two of its last three as well, as the Panthers took a three-game set at UAB last weekend.
The game will be live streamed on BTN2Go and available on WDWS radio and the Fighting Illini Sports Network with Dave Loane on the call. Loane returns to the booth for his 30th season of Fighting Illini baseball broadcasts.

NOTES
• The Illini and Panthers were scheduled to play Tuesday, but the game was moved to Wednesday due to cold temperatures forecasted for Tuesday.
• Illinois split a doubleheader Saturday at Fluor Field, beating Furman 14-5 before falling to Michigan State 4-2. The Illini's winning streak was stopped at seven games in the nightcap.
Illinois (8-4) went 2-1 in Greenville, S.C., outscoring opponents 31-13 in three games.
• Doran Turchin led the offense in Greenville with an .800 on-base percentage for the weekend. He had five hits and seven walks in 15 plate appearances. Bren Spillane added two homers, as the Illini hit .296 as a team with 18 extra-base hits.
• Ben Troike hit .545 (6-11) for the weekend in Greenville with two doubles, a triple and his first career homer.
• Illinois went on a six-game errorless streak Feb. 24-March 4, one of the longest errorless streaks in program history. Dating back to 1979, only one streak has been longer: 7 games, May 16-31, 2013
