CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – With the season kicking off in one month, the Illinois Women's Gymnastics team has released its full promotion schedule for the 2019 season on Wednesday morning. The team will host six meets inside Huff Hall offering fun-filled themes and giveaways for each home meet.

Orange and Blue Exhibition | Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. | Hail to the Orange

The men's and women's gymnastics teams will join forces to host their annual exhibition meet, providing fans a first look at the team in an official competition format. The Hail to the Orange theme will provide the first 300 fans with Hail to the Orange T-Shirts, along with special orange prize pack giveaways and marketing materials. There will also be a Toys for Tots Toy Drive, so bring your toys to donate! The entire team will be available to sign autographs after the meet.

Kentucky, Oregon State, Lindenwood | Sunday, Jan. 13 at 2 p.m. | Break the Attendance Record

The Illini's home debut will feature a Break the Attendance Record theme with the goal of packing Huff Hall with 2,478 fans. The first 500 kids ages 13 and younger will receive leotard shirts. There will be a professional artist on hand to provide fans with their own caricature drawing sketch.

Maryland | Saturday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. | Character Day

Building upon a fan favorite from the 2018 season, all kids are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite character. Our costume contest will determine the best dressed fan. The first 300 fans will receive either a cape or a tiara. Fans will also have the opportunity to take pictures with their favorite characters during the meet. The entire team will be available to sign autographs after the meet.

Penn State | Saturday, Feb. 2 at 4 p.m. | Salute to Service, Kids Club Day

The Illini will be holding their annual Salute to Service Day, honoring all the men and women that have served in the armed forces. All military members and veterans have the opportunity to walk out with the team and assist with holding the American Flag during the National Anthem and march-in. The meet will also serve as Kids Club Day, where all Kids Club members will have priority access to the post-meet youth clinic in addition to receiving a special giveaway that will be given out when members show their Kids Club ID. Select athletes from the Illini women's gymnastics team will be assisting with our youth clinic after the meet.

Michigan State | Friday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. | Ninja Warrior Night

The Orange and Blue have been making their mark on the ninja warrior scene. The Ninja Warrior Night theme will provide the first 300 fans with Rally Towels. After the meet, fans will have a chance to go through a Ninja Warrior course with unique obstacles. The UIUC Ninja Warrior student club will also be on hand to assist with the event.

Denver | Friday, March 1 at 7 p.m. | Daddy-Daughter Night, Senior Night

Come help us celebrate our seniors and all of their incredible accomplishments on our inaugural Daddy-Daughter Night! The first 200 fans that attend will receive bows and a picture frame they can customize to make it a night to remember. There will also be a photo booth where fans will be able to take pictures and receive an instant print of their snapshots. Our four graduating seniors will be recognized in a post-meet ceremony. Pre-registration will be available for this meet.

State of Illinois Classic | Saturday, March 9 at 2 p.m. | Club Gymnastics Day

The Orange and Blue will host the annual State of Illinois Classic and compete alongside the top teams in the Land of Lincoln – Northern Illinois, Illinois State, and UIC. The final home meet of the season will be a Club Gymnastics Day theme. The winner bringing in the most attendees to the meet will win a special prize. Select athletes from each team will be assisting with our youth clinic after the meet.
