CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The Fighting Illini men's gymnastics team has released its 2019 schedule, which features matchups against all five other teams that finished in the top six of last year's NCAA Championships. The new campaign will begin with a dual meet against in-state UIC at Huff Hall on Saturday, January 12, and will conclude with the NCAA Championships, held in Champaign for the first time since 2004.
Schedule Notes:
- Home opener set for Saturday, January 12 versus UIC
- Two Big Ten home meet: Iowa and Minnesota
- Three Big Ten away meets: Nebraska, Penn State/Michigan and Ohio State
- Two tournaments: Windy City Invitational (Jan. 19), Winter Cup (Feb. 14-16)
- NCAA Championships to be held at the State Farm Center in Champaign, April 19-20
