» Geronimo Allison, WR, Green Bay Packers – Was inactive for Green Bay's loss to the Lions while recovering for a concussion suffered in week four. 

» James Crawford, LB, Green Bay Packers – Made one special teams tackle and was in on 16 snaps, all on special teams, in Green Bay's loss to Detroit. 

» Clayton Fejedelem, FS, Cincinnati Bengals – Made one special teams tackle and was in on 24 snaps (2 on defense and 22 on special teams) in Cincinnati's win over Miami. 

» Justin Hardee, CB, New Orleans Saints – Former Illini receiver turned NFL cornerback and special teams extraordinaire saw his first extended action on defense and made the most of it. Hardee made four tackles, one TFL and defended two passes, but his big highlight was his interception and 77-yard return nearly for a touchdown in the Saints blowout victory over Washington. 

» Ted Karras, OG/C, New England Patriots – Was inactive for the Patriots win over Indianapolis. 

» Matt LaCosse, TE, Denver Broncos – Had two catches (on two targets) for 19 yards in Denver's loss to the Jets. LaCosse was in on 27 snaps (19 on offense and 8 on special teams). 

» Corey Liuget, DL, Los Angeles Chargers – Made two tackles and was in on 33 snaps in LA's win over Oakland. It was Liuget's first game back from suspension. 

» Whitney Mercilus, LB, Houston Texans – Started at SAM linebacker and was in on 55 snaps, but did not record any stats in Houston's win over Dallas Sunday night. 

» Hardy Nickerson, LB, Cincinnati Bengals – Made one special teams tackle and was in on 27 snaps (8 on defense and 29 on special teams) in Cincy's victory. 

» Carroll Phillips, DE, Indianapolis Colts – Made two tackles, one on defense and one on special teams, while playing 43 snaps (19 on defense and 24 on special teams) in Indy's loss to New England. 

» Dawuane Smoot, DE, Jacksonville Jaguars – Was inactive for the Jaguars loss to the Chiefs. 

» Akeem Spence, DT, Miami Dolphins – Started at defensive tackle and had one QB hit in the loss to the Bengals. Spence was in on 51 plays, 45 on defense and six on special teams. 

» Jihad Ward, DE, Indianapolis Colts – Was in on 24 defensive snaps and got in one QB hit for the Colts in their loss to the Patriots. 

» Tavon Wilson, SS, Detroit Lions – Was inactive for Detroit's win over Green Bay while recovering from a back injury suffered in week four.

» Josh Ferguson, RB, Indianapolis Colts – On IR with a groin injury suffered in training camp

» Michael Hoomanawanui, TE, New Orleans Saints – Will miss 2018 season with a neck injury

» Christian DiLauro, OL, San Francisco 49ers – Signed to 49ers practice squad Sept. 26

» Malik Turner, WR, Seattle Seahawks – added to Seahawks practice squad during week 2. 

Retired Illini

» Vontae Davis, CB, Buffalo Bills– Retired from the NFL on Sept. 16 after playing one game with Buffalo in 2018. In 10 NFL seasons with the Dolphins, Colts and Bills, Davis played in 121 games (113 starts), made 394 tackles, had 97 passes defended and 22 interceptions. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in both 2014 and 2015.
