Big Ten Release | Future Illini Schedules
ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten announced the conference schedules for the 2020 and 2021 football seasons Tuesday, featuring nine-game slates for every Big Ten program.
In 2020, the Fighting Illini will have crossover games at home against Ohio State (Nov. 21) and at Rutgers (Oct. 3) and Indiana (Nov. 14), making five of the Fighting Illini's nine B1G games on the road. Illinois' non-conference slate in 2020 consists of three previously announced home games against Florida Atlantic (Sept. 5), UConn (Sept. 12) and Bowling Green (Sept. 19), giving the Orange and Blue seven home games in 2020.
The 2021 Illinois crossover games against the East Division are home games against Maryland (Sept. 18) and Rutgers (Oct. 30), and a road game at Penn State (Oct. 16), meaning the Illini will have five Big Ten home games and four road games that season. The previously announced 2021 non-conference games include home games against UTSA (Sept. 4) and Charlotte (Oct. 2), along with a trip to Virginia (Sept. 11).Â
