URBANA, Ill. – The Fighting Illini opened week four of Training Camp on Monday afternoon, but first they witnessed some history at Memorial Stadium. Coach Lovie Smith and the Fighting Illini observed the solar eclipse, with proper eyewear of course, at Memorial Stadium at 1:20 p.m. before heading over to the Campus Recreation Fields for their 2:30 practice. 

Champaign-Urbana was able to view the eclipse at 0.94 totality on Monday, and the turf at historic Zuppke Field was the perfect spot for it. 

The Fighting Illini will continue their final week of Training Camp, which is new closed to the public, with a practice on Tuesday afternoon. Tuesday's practice will include a visit from the Big Ten Network preseason bus tour.
