CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- The Illinois baseball team continues its eight-game road swing Tuesday with a trip to Peoria, Illinois, to face Bradley. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT at Dozer Park.
Cole Bellair (3-2, 7.22 ERA) will get the start on the mound for Illinois (15-22, 3-9 Big Ten), as the Illini look to snap a three-game losing streak. Illinois had won nine of its previous 12 games before it was handed three losses at Purdue last weekend.
Illinois will also look to avenge a 2-0 loss to Bradley earlier this season. Five Illini pitchers allowed just five hits March 28 but the Illinois offense could not get started in a 2-0 loss to Bradley at Illinois Field.
Bradley (18-19, 4-5 Missouri Valley) will go with right-hander Mitch Janssen (1-2, 8.72 ERA) on the hill. The Braves have won three of their last four games, including two of three against Illinois State over the weekend.
