COLUMBUS, Ohio – Illinois entered the final round of the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational in sixth place and after posting a team score of 304 on the final 18 holes, went home with another top-five spring tournament finish to conclude regular-season play. The Orange and Blue tallied team totals of 301-299-304 across the two-day event held at the Ohio State University Golf Club.

Illini freshman Bing Singhsumalee led the squad for the third-straight tournament, carding a collective 224 (+8) with rounds of 73-74-77. Singhsumalee finished 11th at the Ohio State University-hosted competition. She also led the Illini with 35 holes registered at par.

Dana Gattone turned in Illinois' second lowest score to earn her fourth top-25 finish of the year. The Illini sophomore shot a 75 in her final round from the Scarlet Course to accompany her opening day tallies of 78 and 75. Gattone finished 12 strokes over par at 228.

Stephanie Miller and Paillin Ruttanasupagid each turned in cumulative scores of 229 (+13) at the event to finish in a tie for 28th place. Miller's scorecard read 74-79-76 while Ruttanasupagid's card showed rounds of 76-73-80. This was the first event that Ruttanasupagid has competed for the team instead of as an individual in her career. The sophomore set three personal records including a new low round score (73), low tournament score (229) and best finish (T-28th).

Singhsumalee, Miller and Ruttanasupagid each tallied six birdies across the two-day competition to lead the Orange and Blue.

Chayanid Prapassarangkul finished tied for 34th overall after scoring 79-77-76 at the outing for a final reading of 232 (+16). Grace Park rounded out the Illini with rounds of 73-77-77 for a score of 273 and a share of 46th place.

Kent State took home the team title from this year's Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational with a final score of 878. Ohio State and Indiana share runner-up honors at 883. Michigan State scored an 888 for fourth place. The Illini and Iowa tied for fifth place with scores of 904. Toledo (906), Augusta (911), Rutgers (936), Maryland (943), Indianapolis (943) and Seton Hall (944) rounded out the field.

With the regular season in the books, the Illini are headed for the Big Ten Championships. The competition will open on Friday, April 22 and conclude on Sunday, April 24, from The Fort Golf Resort in Indianapolis, Indiana.
