CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The Fighting Illini lost to Northwestern, 42-21, on Saturday to end its season.
Seniors filled the stat sheet in their final game for the Orange and Blue. On the offensive side, QB Wes Lunt threw for 377 yards and two touchdowns and WR Justin Hardee turned in a career game with nine catches for 125 yards. On defense, Dawaune Smoot and Gimel President each recorded two sacks and Carroll Phillips had three TFLs to push his season total to 20.
