SKILLMAN, NJ. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released the 2015 Division I Preseason Rankings, along with their selections for the 2015 Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships. The tournament, which will be held in Tulsa, Oklahoma, consists of three portions: the main draw, a qualifying round and a pre-qualifying round that kicks off Oct. 3. The main draw is set to begin on Oct. 8.
Three Illini are ranked nationally in singles entering the season. Two-time All-American Jared Hiltzik starts his senior campaign with the No. 12 ranking, while the dynamic sophomore duo of Aleks Vukic and Aron Hiltzik are ranked 41st and 46th, respectively.
In addition, the ITA announced Jared and Vukic to the main draw of the All-American Championships in October. Aron was placed second on the alternate list for the main draw.
Finally, Alex Jesse, Julian Childers, Pablo Landa, Toshiki Matsuya, Asher Hirsch and Pengxuan Jiang are all slated for the prequalifying singles field for the tournament.
The 2015-16 Illini will get their fall action underway as they head to competition at the Conference Challenge in College Station, Texas from Sept. 25-27.
